Whenever you try not to think of it, it makes it more difficult doesn't it like when a diet tells you you cannot have chocolate. The more you try to stop doing something the harder it becomes.
Even if you fight thinking of that pink elephant sooner or later you have to because it is right in front of you and you cannot avoid chocolate forever can you?
Now maybe I am cheating a little here but I think you get the idea. Most people who diet have food constantly on their mind, trying not to eat something, or wondering how many calories or points it has and yet people who are slim usually don't constantly think about food or their weight, do they?
Only by changing the way you think about food and your weight will you ever be able to lose weight and keep it off permanently.
